hey there this is Jophiel with SkyPoint Studios and today I want to talk about how to change the admin email address in WordPress so when you set up a WordPress site it’s going to require an email address this is the admin email address and it actually is quite hard to change it in the settings it doesn’t seem to ever work when you try to go and just follow the regular settings of changing it so today I’m going to show you a really cool trick on how to get it changed uh if you go to the settings area the general settings area you can see the admin email address that’s listed in there now this is very important for resetting the login to WordPress so it’s like the master control account so you really want to make sure you have an email address that you control and that you own in this position so if you have somebody else’s email address in there and you need to change it this is what you do go to add new plugins and search for change admin email that’s the name of the plugin just put change admin email in and search and install that plugin once that plug-in’s installed all you have to do is go back to the settings general and go down to the third item down where the email address and put in the new email address and click save at the bottom of the page and that’s it now you have actually been able to change the email address whereas before it wouldn’t actually let you do it and you can go and uninstall the plugin once you’re done with that because we no longer need it so that’s how you change the admin admin email address on a WordPress site make sure that you have the right email address in place because it’s really important to unlocking the account later down the road Jophiel with SkyPoint Studios thank you so much for watching
