How do we check to see how well a SEO campaign is going?

Do you know if your SEO is actually working so if you hire an agency to do SEO for you how do you know to check to see whether the SEO is actually working well many agencies will tell you it takes three to six months for any results to come in but during that time they’re going to want to hook you up with the Google analytics or some type of analytic platform and show look this is how much growth the website’s getting look at all this traffic we’re getting now see these pages that we’re getting traffic to and that’s the most common way that SEO agencies show you that they’re they’re actually getting some work they’re getting more traffic to the website you know what the problem with that is is that that can be spoofed it can be faked so website traffic can be totally faked and I’m not saying that they always do this but it’s not a metric that you can really rely on but to see really how good the SEO has been done so the best thing to look at something that can’t be faked and can’t be spoofed is actual Google search results because that’s at the end of the day what SEO is all about it’s not about traffic it’s not you know traffic engine optimization it’s search engine optimization so we’re trying to get listings on the search listing so when you go and look for your keywords you should have a main number one keyword a number two keyword number three keyword but your number one keyword so the first thing that a customer would think of the lowest hanging fruit the easiest thing for them to type in into Google so it’s usually like the product of the service the name of it and then the location that’s the most common thing whenever you’re looking for an oil change or a nail salon or pet grooming or a plumber or a roofer or whatever it is that you’re looking for you near you you always put in the service usually and then the location I mean sometimes people put location first and then service but that’s less common most common is usually what the services or the product and then the location so those are your whatever that main category is that you’re in you know if you’re a plumber for example Plumbing is your number one category now you might have water heaters you might have leaks and things like that those are all subcategories your main category is Plumbing or plumbers and then the area that you’re at so your city and that goes into the smaller the micro City and then the main city and then the the county and then the state that’s kind of how they work and then maybe even the region so it all kind of works its way that way but uh that’s a long way of saying that you’ve got to look at listings you got to search your listings before you hire an SEO agency find out where you’re at plumber you know Billings Montana plumber you know like whatever the location is you got to find out where you’re at on that and then you got to check to see how those rankings go up because if it’s just traffic that can be totally spoofed it can be just generated um you know not real traffic so that’s something to think about when you’re hiring an SEO agency definitely check your listings if you need help with your SEO I would definitely would love to help you we have number one agencies in multiple different markets it’s very competitive for other web developers you know for us to be number one against other web developers it’s very competitive so if we can do it for ourselves we can do it for you it doesn’t matter how competitive your industry is and I’d love to help you out this is Joe field with skyepoint Studios thank you so much as always for watching my videos and I’m gonna see you on the next one.
