<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/tLsH2TNREXE” title=”YouTube video player” frameborder=”0″ allow=”accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture” allowfullscreen></iframe> hey there this is Jophiel with SkyPoint Studios and today I want to talk to you about how to figure out what type of website platform a website is running on sometimes you’ll come across a website maybe even your own website and you want to know what kind of platform is this built on is it a WordPress is it a wix is it squarespace is it GoDaddy website builder like what was it built on and there’s actually a way to do it it’s not necessarily super easy but you should be able to figure it out if you right click so the right click of the mouse on the page anywhere in the page and there’s going to be a little menu that pulls up inside that little menu is view page source it’s like towards the bottom click view page source it’ll launch a new tab in that tab is going to be all the code of the website so if you go through the code you’re going to be able to find little snippets pieces squarespace will have links that say squarespace in the middle of the links WordPress will have wp-content somewhere down in there you’ll be able to see it’s a wp website and this is a pretty good way to gauge it otherwise you could look at the footer sometimes you know godaddy website builders will say that at the bottom wix will sometimes say that at the bottom but really the tried and true method like the real web developer way to do it is to look at the page source so that’s a little tip if you are curious and you want to know what your website’s running on just pull open the view page source take a look really quick you should be able to parse the code if not get a hold of a developer like myself I definitely can investigate and find out what kind of platform your website’s running on and make sure you’re running on the best which is WordPress so Jophiel with SkyPoint Studios we will see you soon
