hey there this is Jophiel with SkyPoint Studios and today I want to talk to you about what’s the difference between a landing page and a website so you often hear these and people will interchange them but there is a very different purpose for each one so a website we all know what websites are they have lots of different options on them they have about pages contact pages shopping pages they have lots of different things going on but a landing page is a singular focus with an outcome that’s trying to happen there so we want to have someone subscribe buy a product take a particular action register for a course or a class there’s a specific target there’s only one specific target that a landing page is supposed to do and landing pages do not perform well in search they’re never going to be optimized to come up number one on google that’s not what they do that’s what websites are for so a landing page has a specific goal and it’s always driven the traffic to the landing page is always driven by ads so that may be Facebook ads google ads that’s how the traffic that’s how people actually get there typically is off of the ads so if you have a particular class that’s coming up you may want to put a landing page for that particular class where they can check out they can see the different they can register for VIP tickets or whatever on that page and it has a squeeze to it meaning that it first tells you what it’s about then it tells you where the events at how you can get tickets why you should do it maybe some social proof of other people have joined in the past and what they say about it so it’s all hyper focused to that one goal you want them to buy tickets you want them to buy a book you want them to buy your product that’s on sale so they it’s all urgency and it has to happen that’s what landing pages are for so just want to clarify that, Jophiel with SkyPoint Studios thank you for watching today
