<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/SZS-6KcaQNI” title=”YouTube video player” frameborder=”0″ allow=”accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture” allowfullscreen></iframe> hey there this is Jophiel with SkyPoint studios and today i want to talk to you about what is the dot io domain extension so dot io first came out for the it stands for Indian ocean that’s the actual region that created it it’s a regional so just like dot ca is for California uh dot Vegas is for Vegas there’s uh dot a u is for Australia so there’s regional r regional related domains there’s even dot u s which is for the united states so there’s one called io for the Indian ocean however it’s been commandeered by developers uh because there’s a term in development called input output and so i o is a very common uh way that developers talk about different ways that they do their processes it’s called input output and so because of this developers have commandeer that’s why you will often see io on a lot of tech related websites futuristic tech related development related websites we even have our own here at SkyPoint s-k-y-p-n-t dot io that we do a lot of development on when we’re creating a new website for client we’ll often put SkyPoint dot io forward slash the name of their company and put their temporary website while it’s being developed on that so we can share it with the client and show them what it looks like and go through the process of making sure everything’s perfect before we actually launch it on the actual domain so dot ios are for tech related companies if you have a tech idea or you have a futuristic tech company that you want to launch and have a really cool domain maybe like dot coms are great but maybe you should look at a dot io if the name in dot com is not available so that’s a little tip uh hopefully you got some value out of that and look into ios with a little bit more idea about what they’re about so Jophiel with SkyPoint Studios thank you so much for watching i will see you on the next video
